I always notice the cars in my St. Louis neighborhood while walking my dog (someone has a DINAN Z3, for example).
So, I noticed a Corolla parked on my block with the "S" package. I never knew such a package existed on the Corolla.
I chuckled as I realized it rolled on steel wheels with plastic hubcaps, a rear spoiler, and really no other outward evidence of sport .
So Jalopnik , the question I ask:
What is the most absurd sport package offered on a car?

For the Toyota Corolla, "S" is a trim level, not a sports package. It's actually the trim level to get alloy wheels, which makes the Corolla S you saw strange.

I thought it was alloys and a lip kit.

I'm just reporting. I've purported to be an expert on Toyotas.

Thats exactly whats wrong with the "S" package Corolla. Its for looking like you bought a sport while not actually having one.

How about the Silverado Rally Edition?
You get some stuff blacked out, racing stripes and some other stuff left chrome. Because, well, who knows. The only "sporty" thing you actually get is a LSD, but it also comes standard with the 285hp 4.3l V6 …. so yea.

The question is... Was it grounded to the ground?

That. Is. Awful.

The Honda Civic hatchback of the '90s. "Sport" was an entirely cosmetic trim level that made the outside of your 1.4i look like the VTI - a spoiler! side-skirts! fog lights! Wow!

Any SUV ever.
